Tour of Cornwall on my Kawasaki Z1000SX Towards the end of this video the scene transitions are missing so the video jumps from scene to scene, maybe I hadn't saved it at this point before I uploaded? (I am still learning with my new editing software)! Sorry about the wind noise, I have come up with an idea of fitting my gopro inside a wind muff and making a hole for the lens, I am hoping this ...

Hi mate do you still make UA-cam videos? I like the ones you did on the Blackbird, good commentary and informative.
Hi Steve, many thanks for the comment, yes it's been too long since I've done any UA-cam videos! I sold the Blackbird two years ago. TBH I've had so much going on, divorce, moving house, my UA-cam videos have taken a back seat! I'm currently riding a Honda NT1100, my 3rd bike since selling the Blackbird! I'll have to dust off my cameras and create some more videos, I promise to keep them shorter! 🤣
Havnt watched the whole video yet but what year is your blackbird
Hi Paul, it is a 2000 XXY model, sorry it is a bit of a long video!
I like the story with dream bike. When I was teenager (in Poland) a dream moped was Simson S51.
Even today at 64yrs of age I have dream bikes! But I am lucky and in a position to (eventually) buy the bikes I want, when I was 16yrs I had a Honda SS50 sports moped, it was so slow!!! 😆
Thank you for sharing
No problem, thanks for watching!! 🙂
Unfortunatley I can't comment on the bike as I've never owned one. But looking at it I wish I had one. It's a beautifull looking bike for sure, and I presume its FAST. Very interesting how they have come up with the ribbon to take away heat from the lamps. Nice bike and I wish you many great rides ahead. Thanks for sharing.
Indeed a stunning looking bike, the later ones have much improved handling and the latest tech too, the lighting upgrade was a vast improvement but I was constantly being flashed by drivers even though I'd lowered the beams as much as I could, I think a dedicated headlight lens was required to focus the light? Thank you for your comment 👍
There may have been traffic but you soon got past them and looks like you were enjoying every pass. Does have a nice sound reminds me of my Honda CBR 650F I had a couple of years ago ago. Had to px it for a more comfortable ride as tingling fingers and aching back on long rides were not good for me. Stay safe.
Yes I was going a bit 'brain out'!! One of my fave stretches of road, the Kawasaki Z1000SX was a lovely bike but I wasn't keen on the handling, it was very reluctant to turn in. I've had five different bikes since this video, it's time I started doing some vlogs again, my last bike was a BMW R1250RT, I loved this bike, then a nice lady driver decided to enter a traffic island without looking! The bike was written off because the frame was damaged, so I have just purchased a NT1100, the bike isn't in my possession yet, it is still with the dealer, it should be with me in the next couple of days 🤞 thank you for the comment, stay safe!!
I look forward to seeing the videos of your new Bike. Enjoy
@@kimetogo Many thanks, I'm so looking forward to collecting it!! 😀
Wouldn't let dealers wash my bikes let alone service them.
Yo tengo una igual , saludos cordiales desde Uruguay . El diseño italiano es muy bueno .
Greetings to you in Uruguay, indeed the 250 2C is a true classic, a pleasure to ride and own, thank you for your comment.
I had one as a teenager and got one again, greetings from Montevideo.
In andorra skiing. And spotted the girl in the black outfit that was in our group in Niederau. Had to search through old photos to find her. Couldn't place which ski group I knew her from. Can't recall her name can you? Hope all good with you, haven't found a place outside of Niederau and kaprun that ski morning and afternoon. My skiing hasn't improved much more I don't think. Still leaning back a bit. In top group now but don't think that means much from looking at others around me. Pity no one has a gopro to see for myself
Have a 1980 2C running Higgspeeds...a bit raucous, no midrange, all the power is at the top end, but terrific handling makes up for it...pretty good brakes as well
I was enjoying this review until you decided to criticise a rider for his choice in apparel How dare you comment without stopping and telling him directly that's the worst kind of cowardice
I own this bike now. Absolutely love it! Great video!
Tolled video
Hi
@@josephinekiringa5800 hi
What is a "Tolled video"? 🤔
@@Hinckley_Biker I meant tolles video and it means great video in german
@@kawtharkawthar5083 thank you, sorry I was confused!!! 😂
Thanks for your video which reminds me of my ski holidays to Niederau.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I haven't skied for 3 yrs and hope to go next year!
Just seeing this video for the first time; a bit late to the party!! What's that on your right wrist? Is it a remote control for your go pro, or something else. Lovely bike, if you still have it. Silky smooth with turbine like power. Love the blackbird. Ride safe buddy.
Yes I still have the Blackbird, although I have been looking at something newer just lately! You're correct it is the remote for the Go Pro, many thanks for the comment, you stay safe to my friend 👍
Hi mate, Just found your channel. Also a Z1000sx owner / vlogger in the UK here. I'm really interested in your seat. I don't suffer as much as you did. takes me about 100 miles of straight roads until I'm uncomfortable. but I do like the look of your seat combined with that rear pillion cowl. Also converted my headlights to LEDs, but I went to the BI conversion so both lights are on at once as they have dipped and main in both bulbs. I was a bit OCD about the single headlight. Subbed to support a fellow Z1000sx tuber :)
The seat cowl was from kawasaki, the seat I bought on the Internet, I can't remember where from? It made a huge difference! Cheers for the sub although I am not riding the SX now, I have a 22yr old Honda Blackbird, next year intend to buy another bike, either an SX, Versys or Suzuki 1000GT? Thanks for the comment 👍
I had one as well, age 17, 1981. Nice bikes
Just needed oil injection and better electrics and it would have been better than the Japanese bikes!
Yep I'll ride my own ride that's why I have opinions, I have seen bikers skinned to the bone because they didn't want to be "cocooned" I bet they didn't enjoy the weeks spent cocooned in bandages! As for tit-head van drivers, well I very nearly lost my life to one and spent two weeks in intensive care, so I think my comments are justified while I ride my own ride!!!! Thanks for your comment 👍
Nice video, love the sound of the bike, was a nice chilled out ride, but then you went full nanny on a biker in shorts - how about you just give them a nod and let them enjoy their ride how they want to enjoy it? You wouldn't ride without full gear, I wouldn't either, others don't want to be so cocooned, which entirely their prerogative. Then right after you call a van driver a tit-head for clearing the traffic calm when he would have been at the go/no-go when the car infront of you was turning right. Eurgh, just ride your own ride.
Ai tempi era 250 cattiva
Nice swap but I bet you regreted not having a wind screen 😂🤣👍🏼👍🏼
The suzy is so much fun you forget about the wind blast! I did fit a short screen later on which worked really well 👍
Wonderfull bike❤️💪
L'ho avuta all'epoca , bellissima mi ha dato ottime soddisfazioni.
hi! where is the rear seat cover from? its awesome
I'm sure it was a genuine Kawasaki one?

Was that ski instructor called Thomas
No, his name is Martin, great instructor!
Nice video ! I have BB 2000 ! I love this bike ! Have a great 2022, take care and be safe !
Yes the Blackbird is an awesome machine, I don't thinkb I'll ever be able to part with mine! You have a great, safe and healthy 2022 😊
Without restauration, anyway She looks very fine and nice. Compliment from Italy.
Many thanks 😊
you still have bike?
That thing hunts along nicely
That filter has come out of the factory with the bike!
I had 2 of those, a red one like yours, and a blue one. L plated. It was great around town. Thirsty though. Terrible electrics.
Lovely bike, I also own one, it’s here…ua-cam.com/video/KPLPFOHkL4A/v-deo.html
Used to bang my head all the time in the Bakers being 6 foot 2!
I've not been in there for ages, too expensive now!! Lovely old pub though 👌
I bought one new Jan 3, 2000 and unfortunately put it down in November of that year. I had a Two Bros carbon fiber single with header. I’ve owned several bikes before and after and there is no question that the XX is my favorite bike of all time. I’m small and it fit like a glove. And that motor is glorious. And the bike has such long legs. Good on ‘ya bro.
Yeah my fave too, this is my 2nd XX over a good few years, I love the modern bikes but I just can't bear to part with the Bird, a real mile muncher with impeccable manners, ride safe buddy and thanx for the comment 👍
Thx, I had the dealer- nstalled it when I bought S 1000 2020 2 weeks ago
That's either the ugliest looking bike I've ever seen! Or the best??? Confused 🤪
Yep you've got me confused 😕 😂😂 I guess they are a Marmite bike!
Remember seeing one back in the day almost twice the price of an RD 250 in NZ.
I love my 750 Katana but must admit the Blackbird is a damn sexy bike. Might end up buying!
@@Hinckley_Biker What exactly is a flat spot? For what I read, carb version gets more fuel economy and slightly more hp. People also comment the versions with catalizer are the ones to avoid. Bike really entices me, but so many variables make choosing the right one a tread on thin ice 🤣
@@LINKchris87 my pleasure 😊 the Bird is really a sweet thing to ride, she is really docile at low revs and a gentle throttle, the beast is released with large throttle and 7k+!!!!! 🤯🤪😁
What sort of gps mount do you use? I like the position of it, it looks neat!
The mount is intended for a Yamaha MT10, but with a little 'adjustment' it fits perfect!
Thanks for the sudden earsplitting screaming intro.
The LED headlights. I think they are the same as i have just fitted, are they S7 type, come in a black box?
Yeah from what I remember? A bit of a faff to fit but worth it for the results 👍
First thing you buy when you buy a Blackbird is a Super Touring Screen, much, much better than the stock screen.
Just bought a 74 Benelli 250 Phantom in Spain, I'll let you know how I get on.
Keep riding brother, for many more years.
oh my friend, welcome to the scam world of mechanics. Since my mechanic changed my cluth with a repair kit and did not clean it, outside and inside, i had no cluth lever, since then i make aalll my bike stuff myself. He even did not see that my brake lever had not the dust cover... They are incompetent for shit and they don´t care for shit about your bike, they only want your money. Learn and do all your bike stuff yourself.
Good advice! The only thing I won't attempt is the valve clearance, a motorbike service centre has opened not too far from me and they have a great reputation already so I'll use them, thanks for the comment 👍
@@Hinckley_Biker yeah, valve clearance and engine chain are serious words.
Much credit to the DIY route! A lot cheaper too! Can be good fun, so long as you're not up against it time wise, or dealing with a previous owners stripped thread....
Recommended: MRA Vario screen :-) +1 on the Michelins - been using them through the various incarnations since 2006, brilliant rubber Apparently, the equivalent Metzler recently released is at least as good (press reviews).. Might try that next time around, just for a change
My first bike back in 1986. After that I love Italian bikes.
Back in the 70s & 80s the Italian machines out handled everything!!!! The 250 2C still great today 👍
